DONACARBO Milled

DONACARBO Milled is a powder-like fiber made by grinding "pitch-based carbon fiber" (DONACARBO original fiber) into 2 mm in length or smaller. Donacarbo Milled has excellent fluidity. It is easy to mix them with a matrix to improve dynamic properties, electrical conductivity, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, or abrasion resistance of the composite. The lineup includes carbonized grade, low graphitized grade, and graphitized grade. The graphitized grade is recommended for moisture-susceptible products.

Applications

  • Reinforcement of resin and improvement of sliding characteristics, electrical conductivity, heat resistance, antistaticity, or corrosion resistance
  • Asbestos substitute as a heat resistant friction material
  • Improvement of sliding characteristics and thermal dimensional stability of fluoro-plastic
  • For clutches and brakes
